I wouldn't sweat over that article if I were Mercedes though. With the new designs and the AMG line, I don't see how Mercedes is going to lose popularity. Interesting read though.

Most popular is kind of vauge. Does that mean what people think are the greatest luxury cars or which luxury cars do people own. I believe that Mercedes is more luxurious that 75% of that list hands down but it is also more expensive that 50% of the list. So fewer people own them which makes them less "popular".

Not much of a "test" or true comparo, huh?

Besides, I think Mercedes is happy to not be included on any list where the new Thunderchicken is rated #2.

hmm... C32 AMG, E55 AMG, SL55 AMG, CL600, S600, and the new Maybach super-luxury line.

If anything I'd say Mercedes is better than ever!

Mercedes has brand loyality like no one else. While yall are loyal to bmw, the majority of bmw owners are not. I have friends who's parents drove a mercedes sl when they got maried then got a e station waggon, then got an s or e, and now have another sl or clk and and s or e. Many people feel safe with the brand and would not think to drive any thing else.
The CTS, and thunderbird total trendy cars, once the owners get rid of them back to the timeless benz style they go.

Hmm... don't get your resources from MSN.com for cars. Seems to be the most popular cars that some yuppies would choose.
