That's what I'm wondering as well. I was surprised to see avatars had such a comparatively high requirement.

Well I initially wanted to post some pictures, quickly learned that is forbidden for new members. So I changed my post around, no pictures or URLs but am still receiving an error that I have forbidden content in my post. What gives?

Certain forums or threads can be set by Administrators to not increment your total post count — you have posted 16 times, yet only 14 are considered valid contributions toward requirements such as the new member restrictions.
