    E46 M3 control arms on E36

Ok, I have a E36 race/drift car that I have modified for more steering angle and quicker steering ratio. Now I need to move the front ball joints out further with longer control arms in order to give me more clearance at full lock. Tire is hitting frame rail now at lock and there's plenty more steering left in the rack.

I was thinking about making my own control arms from tube steel, but I would rather do something like E46 M3 control arms. I know they are longer definitely, basically I want to know if the inner ball joint bolt that bolts through the subframe is the same size on both cars, and if the rear part where the bushing goes is the same size also...

Has anyone ever used any E46 control arms on the E36 or E30 cars at all?

I will probably call Turner and Bimmerworld too and see what they say.

    Thanks up front everyone,
    Sean
