    24 Hours of Le Mans

Is the 24 Hours of Le Mans or 24 Hours of Daytona ever brodcasted on TV? I want to check it out sometime. Anyone seen it on TV or know if it's ever on national tv? I know Daytona is in Jan. before the Super Bowl and I think Le Mans is in June. What about 12 Hours of Sebring?

Yeah...it used to be on Speed before NASCAR decided to park its double wide ontop of decent programming.

the 12 hours is usually on, but I have no idea because I haven't had cable before this year's race, and I was at it...
they also show parts of the 24 hours of daytona, and some of Le Mans, IIRC...

I totally missed LeMans this year! It is where true supercars are dubbed "super." Not garage queen cars.

    Did the diesel win?

Yes, they are both on Speed channel. However, they'll only show parts of both since they are contracted by fox to broadcast all the stupid ass nascar stuff.

Yeah, the R10 won, but there was actually something of a fight this year with the Pescarolo. It was pretty good, along with the Corvette/Aston battle.

They are both on Speed and its not as bad of coverage as some folks are making it sound.

Last year they broadcast 20 hours of Le Mans and I think 18 hours of Daytona.

You did have to put up with a break to show some NASCAR crap, but for the most part the coverage was decent.

You've managed to decide that they are the greatest racing events in the world without ever having watched on of them?

yeah, but the pits are open now. I've been going since 2001, I guess. I don't really remember. It was the race before Earnhardt's death...

Pits are open? Are you sure about that? The paddock is always open, but I've never, ever been to a race where the pits are open to the general public.
