brake pad you would recommend? *all season, not race*

Most of the brake pad threads in this section have to do with tracking a car. I'm interested in what you guys use for more of an OE application. My car is driven in winter and not tracked. My main concerns are safety (obviously) and excessive dust.

What do you guys use? Or if you know a good thread that answers my question, feel free to post a link! thanks. -aaron

edit: this is for my 1996 328i with all stock brake components.

I like my Axxis Ultimates on the street, they don't dust that much, don't make noise, and have a better coefficient of friction than OE pads.

PBR Deluxe, similar to OE but much less dust. Have them on 2 E30s & 1 E36, they are good for general daily driving.

Just installed Axxis Ultimates on the front and I'm very pleased, my car is used as a daily beater. Initial bite is better than OEM and they seem to dust about the same or less (been a long time since this car's had OEM pads on it). Plenty of torque to engage ABS and that's all that really matters on the street. As soon as you're overpowering your street tires you're not going to slow down any faster anyway. Oh yeah, they're cheap too.

Axxis pads dust way too much. Get hawks or something ceramic.

I've been using PBR Deluxe but I have mixed feelings about them. These pads do not dust at all. Virtually no dust. But, when it gets a lil hot, they do fade a lil bit.
