Hey Palantirion,
what kind of top speeds do you get to on that track?

-I redline in 4th at about 145mph (indicated) just before turn-in to 1. More speed is possible there if I can get better through the last section and carry more speed onto the straight. I carry 130-135mph through 1 and get back to almost 140mph (on a good lap) before braking for turn 3. The car will do more through turns 1 and 2 - I'm just nervous about correcting any potential oversteer that close to concrete Between turn 5 and the buttonhook the Coupe will get up to 100-105mph, basically redline in 3rd, with plenty of room to spare. Not being a great driver I am cautious and don't bother upshifting to 4th and shrinking the tricky braking area before the buttonhook. On the back straight the Coupe sees about 120mph, maybe 125mph. If memory serves, the lap above was mid 1:59 - and my best of the weekend. Most of my traffic-free laps on the second day were in the 2:00 to 2:01 range.
Heres my baby!

Here's our 6 week old 3.0Si.I can FINALLY post attachments. I haven't owned a BMW since 1974. I had a 1972 2002. Gotta say I've missed the competence of the brand. It's a great car and we're looking forward to having some fun for the next few years.
The CSL rims on that black M Coupé are awesome. I WANT!
How many posts do you need before being able to post pics? I have pics of my new ruby-black M Coupe that I picked up a week ago and would like to post them
Mine in Sig
Justin - another black M Coupe with CSL's. Very very cool indeed.
Thanks Palantirion... I'll get posting!
Finally... here it is. M Coupe in ruby black. Appears normal black until direct sun hits it.

~Ken~ '99 M coupe THE "original" TT Stage 3 - HTA3586R; 701 whp 672 wtq @ 26.5 psi ; NeverSell - CoupeCartel
It's part of the 'individual' range, so I'm sure they will be able to do something. As I say, it appears completely normal metallic black until the sunlight hits it directly. As that's such a rare occurrance here in the UK it's quite nice to see!
