01 BMW 325i won't start
when trying to start my car, I get a clicking sound and the head lights flash on and off. After trying a few time it finally started and the car seemed to run fine. I drove for a few miles and dropped off my daughter. When returning to the car it started fine. Then, parked the car and when returning to it after work it preformed the same characteristics? Finally got it started after few tries and drove it to happy hour. When I got there I stopped the car and was able to consecutively start/stop the car 3 times with no issues? Any ideas?

I need to run a battery test, but is their a way to test the starter? How difficult is it to replace the starter?

I think autozone has a digital type electrical system tester you can test the battery, starter, alternator all at once. If they dont, sears does for like $10. You dont wanna change a starter, its under the intake at the top of the transmission, you can almost reach it...almost.

Battery terminals. Clean and tighten or replace.

You might want to check the starter as well, sometimes the starter contact gets too dirty and causes the electrical contact to fail, good luck

MAYBE starter solenoid, but its a little too early for that.

Is this the original battery?
