97 328i Hesitation on Acceleration at high RPM

I've been having the most annoying problem imaginable with my 97 328i auto. The motor idles smoothly and none of the indicator lights go off, but when I accelerate at high RPMs, it feels like the motor is hesitating, almost like it was starved for fuel, but I checked the fuel system and it seems ok. The car accelerates ok, but the hesitation is annoying. Does anyone know what the prob could be???

Could be O2 sensors....check the computer with a Peake tool and see if its throwing any codes.

We checked the mass airflow sensor and that was okay, what other O2 sensors are there and where are they located?
