So I'm in the process of installing the alarm I put together from various used sources, and there's a few things I'm not sure about.
After I physically installed the alarm module, I tried what everyone has suggested about putting the programming chip in the brain, holding reset for 30 sec, then putting it into the remote. No dice. So I tried what the stealer and programming chip instructions said, and put one chip in the brain, and one in the remote, then voila, it works! The only problem is, I can't seem to set the alarm off. I'm still waiting for my siren to arrives, so for just for testing purposes I've jerry-rigged the siren from my old Stellar alarm to make contact with the factory plug. It seems like it's in there well enough, b/c it chirps when arming and disarming, but when I hit the panic button, nada. I also tried opening the doors after it's armed, and tripping the hood sensor, but still nothing. The dip switches are all set to the default positions, so I don't think it's a setting problem.
Any ideas what it could be?
I should mention that the FCC ID & DOC/MDC are off by 1 number, but I know of other people using the same setup without problems.

Anybody?
Are you positive that the alarm is set? You have to go through a proper sequence to coordinate your remote with the brain.
I dunno, I did what was mentioned above, and the keyless started working. Will there be a beep or something to tell you the alarm is programmed?
Ok, so I removed the chip from the brain, and now I can set the alarm off by opening the door with the key when it's armed. Still no panic function though. Any ideas?

3 button fob?
you have to hold that middle button down.
I figured there was something. At what point do I hold the button down?
