E39 swap ecu -> ews problem

    My car is e39 528i -96

I have to change ECU (I think so), because diagnostic show "65 camshaft pulse generator fault" and I already changed that part but fault code dosen't disappear. I also checked that sensor pulse with oscilloscope and measuring wires from sensor to ECU and everythings are ok.

Now I have similar used ECU, but it dosen't communicate with my car's EWS box, can I do somethink about that? (I can use carsoft 6.1. What that program "Special Functions -> sync EWS <-> Motor control Unit" do?

you cannot sync ews on a used DME, you must purchase a new DME, and have it programmed to the car with ISN. which carsoft cannot do.

Local BMW dealer said, they maybe could preprogram used DME (My DME is Siemens 5WK9032 D13 DME MS41.0 BMW number: 1429373), but they not be sure.

How much new DME cost there (in USA)? Here in Europe it cost approxmately 1200$ + 94$/h
