Thread: Mobil 1 ATF Fluid good for my transmission?

I have a 1994 325i and I changed the transmission fluid today and had to use Mobil 1, only "good" brand in the store. It says it is Dex 3 and can be used inplace of Dex IIE, my manual says use Dex II, but some of the other ATF fluids they're said compatible with Dex III, Dex IIE and Dex...I've driven about 10 miles with the new Mobil 1 and don't notice anything bad going on, someone please give me a useful response?
Also I filled it until the fluid began coming out of the hole and then did the finger check, but I'm still not quite sure it is competely full. Sticking your finger in the whole to feel for fluid just doesn't seem very adequate. Will the car tell me if there isn't enough ATF fluid in it?

    Thanks
    Jeremy
