Ask questions in the thread, I'll put them here, along with an answer any time someone has one.

    Questions and Answers

Q: Is it good to swap between ATE blue/gold so you know when you've cycled out all the old fluid?
A: Yes, that's why they made them. You switch between each so you know when the old fluid is out.

Q: Is ATE blue DOT approved?
A: No. Brake Fluid must be clear to amber, thus the blue is technically illegal.

Q: With the ATE super blue brake fluid, doesn't it stain your reservoir so it's hard to determine how much you have in there?
A: Yes. People have had different experiences with this, though, but it has been known to stain.

Q: Who changed from D4ATF in trans to Royal Purple Synmax and noticed a favorable difference?
A: (If you have a response to this question please post about it!)

Q: (if you have a fluids related question, post in the thread!)

That's the goal. Maybe even get it up as a sticky. I can tally up the different things people put and the number of people that put them in the original post so it's a one-stop deal for newbies.

Is it good to swap between ATE blue/gold so you know when you've cycled out all the old fluid?

Sweet idea - we'll add a Q and A section after the tally - this can be like the ultimate fluids thread. Good call.

super blue and ATE typ 200 are the same thing. Swapping between them does help when you flush the system as you then have a visual indicator of "all the old fluid is out".
As a side note, ATE super blue is not DOT legal. I know a lot of people that "always run blue". if you're going to do that, then always run typ 200 instead.

For brake fluid, I always use valvoline synpower.
    For oil, Mobil1 15-50

    This is very easy

Transmission Fluid: Castrol ATF (Dexron on whatever)

    Brake/Clutch Fluid: ATE Super Blue

Oil: Castrol (without any doubt) EDIT: Castrol GTX non-synthetic

    Differential Fluid: Mobil 1 Synthetic

    Coolant: BMW Blue Coolant

Power Steering Fluid: Castrol ATF Fluid

Windshield Washer Fluid: Rain X (Best I have used so far, anything more expensive than Rain-x is a waste)

Headlight fluid: AEM Honda Type-R RaCing Red High grade 1 fluid-while supplies last on Ebay
