Talking Can I put the E46 M3 differential in my car? w/ those lovely 3.64 gears? :)

    Just curious

I'll just slip the technician a hundred bucks to make a simple mistake of adding a 3 in the M Coupe

Will not work without a tremendous amount of modification.

Will the ring and pinion gears at least fit?

don't think so, I believe that the ring-gear diameter is different and the pinion-gear housing may be the wrong size as well... overall.. not worth the hassle.

Yeah, BMW's gears aren't like Ford's where you just pop in the ring & pinion, you gotta do the whole pumpkin, and you can choose which gears go inside, etc...

The good news is no chip needed to recal the speedo, the bad news is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'd rather swap the diff and buy a new speedo gear.
