CONTEST Rules & Regulations
1. You cannot borrow/steal parts from an already chopped image.
2. Only ONE submission/entry per person. Once you emailed your entry, you may not do any more changes to it so please don't email your entry unless you are completely sure.
3. No nudity or vulgarity.
4. You final entry should be no larger than 800x800px. A higher-res version can posted but only as a link.
5. Files must be in JPG format. No BMP, no GIFs TIFF files etc.
6. No cross-posting into other threads or advertising to get votes, until after the voting is done.
7. Please do not post teaser pics of your work.
8. Keep your entry as anonymous as possible. Do not add anything that will give a hint to who you are in your entry. This helps everyone to vote for the entry and NOT the artist.
9. If you can, ADD the universal watermark in your image. Do not resize the universal watermark so to keep it all standard and readable. Download it and affix this in your entry either from the bottom left corner or bottom right corner.
10. Email your entry to the HOST. The host is the 1st place winner of the last contest.
Your Entry will be disqualified if you fail to abide by these rules.
If you are the HOST, here are your responsibilties.
1. You will start the thread for the contest and also be responsible to contact a Moderator to CLOSE the thread after the deadline.
2. You will be the one to receive all the entries so please provide an email in the thread adequate to receive all the entries.
3. For the entries without the universal watermark, or they were not affixed properly, you are responsible to affix it to all entries that needs it.
4. You are responsible to start a Voting thread, which includes the Rules and Regulations of Voting, and have a moderator close it also.
5. Since you are NOT elligible to enter the contest that you are hosting, you can be responsible to choose the image for the contest.
VOTING Rules & Regulations
1. Voting is open to everyone and will last for 5 days.
2. Voting for yourself is not allowed, nor is the creation of new members to vote for yourself.
3. When you post your votes, please add some "constructive" comments. We all can learn from this I'm sure.
4. Everyone who wants to vote will pick and post their top 4 entries (they cannot vote for themselves). Then the 10 points will be distributed as follows..
1st place gets 4 points
2nd place gets 3 points
3rd place gets 2 points
4th place gets 1 point
This is how to post your VOTE
4pts for ________- then add comments here.
3pts for ________- then add comments here.
2pts for ________- then add comments here.
1pt for ________- then add comments here.
Then at the end of the voting date, all the points will be added and everyone that entered will be ranked according to the highest points garnered.
We will have a separate thread that will show the Contest Leader Board.
In this thread, we will have 3 separte sections.
Contest #1 Leader- shows the rankings from the most recent contest.
Overall Points Leader - shows the rankings from TOTAL points garnered from all contest entered.
Average Points Leader - shows the ranking of AVERAGE points garnered for every contest entered. This last section helps those who did not/cannot join every contest.
Then at the end of the year, we'll tally all and have the BFC CHOP SHOP "Artist(s) of the Year" awarded for both the Overall Points Leader and Average Point Leader

Now, should we get a list going on who is going to or wants to host the weekly competition? I think it might be a good idea, but you'd have to follow through with it if you sign up for that week...
It would probably help prevent any confusion and we'd know who and when the host is going to be next...
Regarding the HOST, what you guys think of this.
The HOST is the 1st place winner of the last contest. This way, we will always have a different person in charge as well as it will free up too much responsibilty for one person. This will also allow us to not have the same winner win in 2 consecutive weeks.
If the 1st place winner is not available, then the HOST repsonsibilty will be handed to the 2nd place winner, and so forth. But note that the HOST and any other host that are not available cannot enter the competition. (for ex. 1st place and 2nd place winnercannot enter the competition if 1st place is not available)
Is this fair to everyone?

i think we should have a vote on the next contest car too.
I think you should offer one high-res picture for EVERYONE to do. It kinda creates a standard for everyone and its easier to compare. Photoshopjunkie.com or something like that ran monthly Pshop contests where all contestants had to use the same initial image.
