    93 318 turbo build starts.

    We are going to use a GT28rs on the car and a large ebay intercooler(I know I tried to talk him into a precision turbo intercooler but they were on back order).

    I have yet to decide weather I am going to use a FMU on the car or run some 42# bosch green top injectors.

    I will try to have some pics up later today of what we are working on.

    Either way you are going to need to run some kind of FMU. You will not be able to control the 42# injectors with the stock ECU W/O some kind of custom software and OBD I tuners are not the easiest to find especially one that is will to work on a 318.

    I do alot of VW motronic tuning and shouldnt have any problem doing the tuning.I have looked at the file and identified what maps I need.I need to find the checksum and I will be set.

    The manifold is done for the most part and tonight I'm making the new right side motor mount and mounting the intercooler.Tomorrow I'll let my empolyee finish up the plumbing and maybe this weekend we can get it to the dyno.

    whats the word on this?

    i'm definetly interested in going Turbo on my car, and i know alot of 318 owners who are, but i can't find anyone who makes a Kit for it, you could have found yourself a niche if your intersted.....

    Can you replicate the manifold plus the other pipe that connect the turbo at the exhaust for sell it? How much it will be? I think that there are some people that might buy it

    It you decide to produce this kit, I will be one of the first people to buy it! Basically all you have to replicate is all the pipingand the motor mount, let the customers buy there own intercoolers, turbos and everything else in between. Doing this will make you a hero in the 318 community.

    The problem I see is that there are a few different engine management systems and they all would need to be here to get the remap of the motronic.
