ACS+ABS light querry
I bought my car with the ASC + ABS lights on, knowing that there was a sensor wire that was chewed thru so that sensor was inoperable.
I spliced the wire back together tonight but the lights remained on. Are these lights similar to the check engine light in that they need to be reset after the problem was fixed to clear the code? If so, can it be cleared pretty easily like the check engine light can be?

They should go off after a few runs, unless you havent fixed the problem. Which sensor was chewed up?

Driver's side front. It was a split in the line a little bit below the body where it exits, before connecting to the strut tube.

Cant think of which one youre talking about. The one for the intake sensor, the one that goes to the throttle body for the ASC, or the ABS line?

It was the ABS sensor that mounts to the brake backing plate, that reads off the toothed ring.

So is it supposed to shut itself off or does it have to be reset? Can an OBD-II diagnostic tell me what is wrong with the system?

Alright, looks like I've got more problems to solve then.

I have had those lights on since I got the car. I don't know how to fix this. The only way to find out how to fix it is getting the car scanned and that's at least 80 bucks.
ABS is for sissies. and hot gay guys... See what I just did right there.
