for real. i got mine in the other day and going to intall it later this week. i heard the airbag light wasnt suppose to come on?
3 spoke OEM wheel with airbag?
Disconnected the battery while doing the work and made sure the orange airbag plug is back on?
A little more information might help.

Yeah I did disconnect the battery 20 min before doing the install, I did all the procedure, step by step, when I started the car, the light came on

Reset the light.....see if it comes back.
Which 3-spoke wheel did you use and what is the production date of your car? You'll get an SRS light if you try to use a dual-stage airbag wheel on a single stage system, and vice versa. Assuming that's not the case, you've either got a bad connection at or through the slip ring, or a bad air bag.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

steering wheel/airbag came out a 99 M3, mine is a 98.
The slip ring connector that connects to the airbag was a little damage, I don't know if that could be the problem.
But from what I can see, it shouldn't be on.

It should not have come on.
I just installed mine a few days ago and didn't get the airbag light. If you followed the instructions, then the only thing I'd suggest is to go get the code read and see what is causing the fault. If you are using the proper airbag and slipring, you shouldn't have a problem.

That wheel and airbag should be okay. A damaged slip ring could be the cause of your SRS light. They aren't that expensive and I'd say to get a new one, clear SRS fault, and see if that fixes it.steering wheel/airbag came out a 99 M3, mine is a 98.
