    FS: 3.46 LSD Differential.

3.46 LSD differential from a 1987 635 with 125k. I bought this to swap the ring and pinion in my E36 case. Well FedEx lost it for over a month. I bought another one thinking I'll get my money from the claim. Well they found it last week, so now I have two. I was told it would fit E24, E28, and E30 with just changing the cover. You could also take it to a differential shop and they can swap the ring and pinion into your E36 case. I just want to get my money back so I’m looking for $300. Thanks.

The price depends on the shop and what you want replaced/rebuilt. I have found a shop that will just swap the ring and pinion for $150, or $350 if I want the bearings replaced. Of course others will claim you need the differential rebuilt and all the bearings replaced. Dan from diffsonline can install them for $1125 along with a full rebuilt and 40% lock-up. Best thing is to call around, shopping for the best price based on what you want to do. I hope I answered your question.
