Do you have the AA headers version 2? Also, the dyno numbers would be different from NA vs NA with headers and TS vs TS with headers.

ran at shakedown autocross this weekend. ran two sessions, morning points session and afternoon time-only tnt runs.

car is fast fast fast. tapped limiter (62mph) 4 times on course, was straightlining faster than the z06s. the power delivery is absolutely linear and it just feels like a big motor.

need to relearn to drive the car. been a long time and need to get aggression level back up. car has enough power that i found myself slacking on keeping the speed up through many elements and relying on the brute force. thankfully remedied that in the afternoon session. throttle feed similar to an fsae car: very very easy to keep the rear tires under control.

in morning finished closed 2nd to my 04 co-driver's 335-tired, sr20det, ultralight 240sx. i had times from 1st run, but was running all dirty (cones) and had to put down a clean one on last run.

in afternoon sped up by a second and had a bunch more left. 2nd run, i ran a smoker 2/10th improvment with a cone, my buddy ran the same smoker with no cone. i was left 2/10 out. then some chicks wanted rides so there went the battle. lol.

I won the HPDE of the local PCA.... just kidding.

But I did ran on the new track in SLC with the PCA and I had people questioning the validity of my 328i badge.

Louis in his 996 (I think) came up and asked me how you were going so fast. He was about a 1/4 lap behind you, and was pissed that he couldn't catch the damned convertible.

Here is what happened to my stock 328i brakes:

On the Saturday before the PCA HPDE event I had the brake fluid replaced with ATE Blue and installed new front rotors since the old stock ones were cracked.

It turned out that I boiled the fluid pretty badly at the event.

That contributed to the destruction of the brake master cylinder, which needs to be replaced.

The rear pads are disintegrated to a point that they are not safe any more for a track event.

It is save to say that the Eurosport Twin Screw on my heavy convertible massacred my stock 328i brake system.

At least all 4 rotors have a pretty blue color now. They are up for sale if anybody is interested (j/k), because I'm in the market for a BBK. At least I made sure I get a BBK not just for looks.

Uli, good to see somebody else roughing up the P cars.

After a fair amount of trial and error, I am happy with my current ducted Stoptech 12 inch front only setup running HT 14s with pagid orange on the rear.

    Congrats Neil!

UUC is having a mega sale on their BBK kits.

If your M3 doesn’t have 3 pedals and 2 doors, I would really consider contacting BMW to confirm the authenticity of your incorrectly badged mid-sized family sedan.

That's too funny that you mention that, because I was just checking out the Wilwood options for the E36. I know that Wilwood has rears as well for the E36 although UUC is not listing them.

I'm also looking into ducting from JTD, Bimmerworld and RRT. This subject needs more research.

Very interesting, thanks for the tip.

taking a lunch break right now. confirmed yesterday on the dyno that my vanos was not operational this whole time, so the thing wasn't even making anywhere close to full power! josh at eurosport and john at carbconn here in wa have been tremedously helpful. i'm in the process of checking out the whole vanos unit and cam sensor right now.
