When I went out to the garage it reaked of gas. Can't tell where it's coming from on the car but it's definately the BMW. I put a new filter on 6 months ago so it can't be that. Any suggestions? SEARCHING HAS BEEN DISABLED.

you should sniff around and at least decide what section of the car it's coming from. It could be a number of things but with this much info your guess is as good as mine.Originally Posted by rancho5
had this same problem, except i smelled it while driving. check the return line that goes from the end of the fuel rail (near the windsheild) and then underneath the intake manifold. that one tends to dry out and split.
It's coming from an injector. (2nd back from the radiator). You can actually see the gas bubbling around where it attaches. If I drive it, will it catch fire? Would this be a good time to put in 19lb injectors? If I do, do I have to put in a different AFM or can I do that later? (The ones that have to end a specific number)
Mainly, am I in any danger driving it?

I am currently having this problem as well. I can smell it while driving so it's not coming from underneath the rear seat. But I am going to replace the 2 o-rings (1.95 each).
So I should check the return hose on the fuel rail and the injectors?
Thanks,
It COULD, who knows! I would not screw around. It IS dangerous to drive a car that is leaking fuel. Spend the almost nothing and little bit of time it takes to fix it ASAP. Worry about upgrading injectors later.Originally Posted by rancho5

This all sounds very familiar... I would definately fix that before driving it.
The BMW E30: It gets better with age!
O-rings ordered. Thanks!
