E30 325is Track/Autocross/Street car, Viper Yellow, strong and Reliable!
UPDATE! PICS NOW AVAILABLE!!! (Just wish I knew how to post 'em here...)
I am putting up for sale my E30 track toy. It's an '87 325is with later plastic bumpers. It was painted Viper Yellow a couple years back and still looks good for a track car; not perfect, but not too shabby. It's a southern car, so no rust issues to worry about. It has:
*92k mi. motor with a freshened head about 500 miles ago
*Top End Performance camshaft
*Free flow K&N cone filter system
*2.5 inch single exhaust with high flow cat and Flowmaster muffler
*Turner/Conforti Chip
*Runs very strong
*Good LSD
*lightweight flywheel (10lb IIRC)
*Sachs performance clutch
*UUC Short Shifter
*Ground Control coilovers
*Ground Control camber plates
*Eibach ERS springs
*Koni SPSS front struts, Fastech externally adjustable rear shocks
*Eibach swaybars
*M3 offset LCA bushings
*urethane offset rear bushings for alignment capability
*16x9 Borbet Type T rims, VERY rare size in the USA, with Kumho Victoracers mounted, still serviceable if not terribly fresh
*16x8.5 Rare custom-drilled Kosei K1 wheels, with good condition (2)Yokohama and (2)Federal 16 inch street tires
*Car has SCCA-Legal welded Roll Bar with proper cross bracing.
*SCCA Solo 1 logbooked
*Car won 1st/2nd/3rds at many National Tour and Pro Solo autocrosses in 2000-2003, dominated locally and divisionally, and has since gone on to win a couple SEDIV Solo 1 championships in DSP (pre-camshaft), so it is a well-sorted car and plenty quick to have a ball in!
*CD Player
*Tint
*amazingly pleasant on the road, considering above mods!
*No Spinners
Interior is pretty good shape, the factory sport seats are showing their age but otherwise pretty good. [EDIT: Driver seat has some rips in it, taped over.] Body is straight and appears to have suffered no significant damage in its life. Mechanically it is excellent for its age, and it gets lots of looks! It did have a great looking checkerboard graphic on it, a friend bought it to drive on the street for awhile and removed it, but I may re-install it if buyer wants some bling. [EDIT: paint has peeled a little in spots, plus one largish (baseball size) spot on driver door, after graphic removal]
I will have pictures of it in a couple days, and will update with all the little crap I always forget the first time around.
[EDIT: Pics available now, email me!]
I am feeling it out right now, thinking mid $4k's. Does that sound reasonable? I need to sell it as I have too many toys right now (is that even possible???) and it's about time to start building a Jr Kart for my daughter to start her racing career. So time to part with it- although it is about the most fun car I have played with in recent memory!
PM me or reply here for info. I will post pics as soon as possible, or email me and I will send some to ya.
Thanks,
Brian Flanagan
