    Could be a vacuum leak.

Did you clean your idle control valve (ICV) while you had it out?

The car should run the same with an S52 manifold or an M50 manifold.

Honestly, it’s fairly normal. NA and Supercharged cars all have rough starts when the SAP is active. Soon as it shuts off everything is perfect.

    This.

These cars have always been grumpy when cold, even when they were new. As long as it holds idle and doesn't die or anything like that, and it gets better once it warms up a bit, it's fine. My 1999 is technically a two owner car with the first owner being my father, and I asked him the same question soon after I bought it from him ages ago. He confirmed that the behavior was unchanged from when it was driven off the dealer lot.

You’re not even in the right thread now.
