Do You Torque Motor Mounts to the Subframe Before You Lower the Engine Onto Them?

    Exactly like the title says.

I know that when it comes to trans mounts most DIY articles have you torque the mounts to the crossmember before you lower the trans onto them. I'm just wondering if the same sort of thing applies to engine mounts?

Suscribed, but on the other hand with bushings and such your not supposed to torque them until there in there final position, right?

guy above me is right. the ENGINE mounts you can torque before you set the enigne on them, but once the engine is resting on them they must be torqued to the motor...

with BUSHINGS, you tighten them loosely, then when its on the ground torque them. alternatively you can take a trans jack or floor jack when the car is on the lift and torque them in their final position.
