Hey guys, how do the weight of an E36 Coupe, 4 Door, Power Convertible, Manual Convertible, and M3 Compare?
the weight difference is minimal in all. your owners manual usualy lists the specs of several cars, like a 4dr and 2dr. usualy the convertible is about 100lbs. more than the others. the ///M has a beefier set up in the performance area making them a bit heavier (again around 100lbs) then a regular 3 series. i've seen different figures as far as weight from different areas like my owners manual and aut traders specs.

i checked autotrader, a 97 328 2 or 4dr is listed at 3120lbs, and a convert. is at 3362lbs, while a 97 ///M3 is at 3175.

wow, converts are soo much more heavier. But the weight distribution is still the same, right???
i would think the rear would be offsetting the balance cause of the mtors and stuff for the convertible. and it also may be different if the top is down or up.
