I'd like to swipe a good idea from our moderator Bav///Man and create a sticky thread where we all can post our dyno sheets so they aren't scattered throughout the forum.
Please include:
Year:
Build Date:
Mods:
Dyno Type:
Dyno Conditions:
Gear Dynoed:
Peak HP:
Peak Torque:
Under mods, please include motor swaps and anything else you have done/added.
Under dyno conditions, if you do not know the temperature and/or humidity, please include the date so we can get a feel for the weather.
Please note whether hp/torque numbers are SAE corrected or not.
The graphs we are looking for are hp/rpm, torque/rpm, and AFR/rpm. Please include all three if possible.

Here you can see the VERY LOOSE bolt on this side and 1 is MISSING on the other! I am hoping this was to blame for the rough Tq Curve.
I am going to dyno again with added Stromung exhaust, AA software and fixed leak in the TB to ASC TB connection.

I didnt purposely go to it, it's the closest one by me and lotsa other friends go there. Oh wells!
Nice to see this thread get some traction!
YOu guys are making some sweet gains on your M52's! Nice job. Giving me some ideas and goals now! Thanks for the thread.
I am interested in doing camshafts and the pre-1995 intake manifold on my 328ic. HOW HARD IS IT TO DO THIS? and also how much $$$ for the swaps?
THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Zach
I love this car.

Were the 90's bimmers similar to the Hondas in Canada in the respect that since emissions laws are more slack, they come standard w/ Mo POWER ??? The Civic SiR was like 170-175 HP in Canada but only 160ish here.Originally Posted by CdnR328i

That's a myth.
It has nothing to do with emissions. They designed the 328 because the customers wanted more low revs power and because of the competitors who both had 2,8 liters engines (Audi and Mercedes) with a lot more torque than M50B25. You don't get lower emissions by giving a engine bigger displacement.
It has the same power in Europe and Canada. They sold 328i from beginning of 1995 in Europe.
Hey m3mobbin - you look like you could get some benefit from the cam specific s/w. My car had that same dip at about 3.5k. You can see in my dyno that it was cleared up nicely by the cam-specific s/w.
Gary
I would throw money down that you're right, but I have F/I planned in the near future so if I got the cam specific SW in wouldn't be used for long at all.

Tons of mods. Last dyno sheet I have had me at 202whp and 190ft-lbs. I did re-dyno with my new AA software and 3.5" Elbow and made 224whp and 200ft-lbs even. It was on a cold day (33F) running 92 Octane. I don't have the dyno sheet because I never went back to pick it up Next time I'm there, I will have the guy print it out for me.
