BMW product changes for 2003 Model Year
All 3 SERIES (from $27,800):
The Navigation System will be upgraded from CD-ROM to DVD. In addition,
the navigation system will now be available with in-dash CD-player or
cassette player.
The sound system head unit now has a new auxiliary input.
Sedans receive third rear headrest and 3-point seatbelt.
325 MODELS:
Rain Sensor and Automatic Headlight Control will now be part of the
Premium Package.
Front Armrest will be standard in the sedan and sport wagon.
Moonroof will be standard in the sport wagon.
330 MODELS:
Tire Pressure Monitor replaces the Flat Tire Monitor on vehicles with
run-flat tires. The alarm display and button in the middle console
remain unchanged.
330xi with Sport Package will come with 17" all-season run-flat tires
with styling 98 wheels (same as current run-flat tire option).
In order to comply with new emission regulations BMW will sell Super
Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (SULEV) in California, Massachusetts, New
York and Vermont (325i, 325Ci and 325i Sport Wagon, all equipped with
automatic transmissions).
All 5 SERIES (from $37,600):
Moonroof is now standard.
Rear Head Airbags are standard.
The Navigation System changes from CD to DVD technology.
525i MODELS:
Rain Sensor as a part of the Premium Package.
Standard wheel design will be replaced with all new 16" Styling 50.
540i MODELS:
6-speed model and the Sport Package will be equipped with 18" wheels in
mixed tire sizes (sedans only) and receive the M Sport Package which
includes:
Aero Package with black rubber strips
M Sport Suspension
Visible exhaust pipe
Black roof liner
M footrest
The integration of the M Aero Package requires a limited offer of paint
colors:
354 Titanium Silver
365 Topaz Blue
449 Slate Green
472 Sterling Gray
475 Black Sapphire
668 Jet Black
300 Alpine White
All 7 SERIES (from $68,500):
Rear Head Protection System (HPS) is now standard.
Optional Active Cruise Control (ACC) is now available.
Optional 18" all-season run-flat tires with all-new wheel design Styling

745i MODELS:
Sport Package becomes available with March 2003 production.
745Li MODELS:
Rear seat ventilation has been added to the optional Rear Comfort Seat.
Can be ordered together with optional Luxury Seating Package.
760Li MODELS:
Model introduction in the first quarter of 2003.
All M CARS (from $46,500):
Navigation System is upgraded to DVD technology.
An audio system auxiliary input will be standard (requires accessory
jack installed).
M3 coupe and M3 convertible MODELS:
New Aluminum Trim available as a stand alone option.
The Navigation System will be upgraded from CD-ROM to DVD. In addition,
the navigation system will now be available with in-dash CD-player or
cassette player.
The optional Power Seat Package will no longer be offered (M3 coupe
only).
Standard Rain Sensor with Automatic Headlight Control.
All X5 MODELS (from $39,500):
The Navigation System is upgraded to DVD technology.
Sound system head unit has a new auxiliary input.
Adaptive Brake Lights are standard. When braking hard, an additional
segment in the brake light cluster will light up, warning drivers behind
you. Great safety feature!
Rear head airbags are standard, rear side airbags will remain optional
at $385.
Adjustable Ride Height can now be ordered with the Sport Package (3.0i
and 4.4i).
Dakota leather replaces Montana leather in the 3.0i and 4.4i. Dakota
will not feature dual-tone appearance as the Montana did.
The standard wheel/tire combination on the X5 4.4i Sport Package will
change from an 18" H-rated all-season tire to a V-rated all-season tire.
At the same time, all X5 4.4i Sport Package models will get unlimited
top speed, regardless of wheel choice.
Z4 ROADSTER:
Two all-new exciting models, deliveries starting in October. Z4 2.5i
(from $33,100) and Z4 3.0i (from $40,250)
Z8 ROADSTER (from $131,500):
Only few 2003 BMW Z8 models with 6-speed manual transmission will be
produced, last month of production is December this year, 2002. For the
remaining 2003 model year production run no more than 450 Z8 roadsters
with 5-speed SHIFT TRONIC automatic (steering wheel shift controls) will
be made by ALPINA. This extremely limited production starting in
November. Only one car for each U.S. dealer (few largest dealers may

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
