Carbon Intake Plenum (For Euro Spec S50 B30)

Is it worth doing, or is it a waste of money, I have been told as much as 15 hp. I would combine that with Schrick 284 Cams, and engine management. Any comments?
    Thanks

Whatever setup you use you need something like Alpha-N or a standalone managmentsystem as the airbox doesn't have a AFM.

Yes I know that, however I was thinking about retrofitting the afm to the intake. Is that possible?

Very hard, as the AFM doesn't fit in front of the airbox. Putting it into the airbox itself isn't working either because measurement is off. Give's a crappy running engine and stalling etc.

What Alpha N essentially does is dropping the AFM load % calculation, and using throttle % instead (on the throttle body sensor)

Are there any Alpha N programmers of note that I might be able to have program a chip for me?

Sometimes they are available from germany, from H&H motorsport for example. Only normally they are car specific. Isn't there a USA tuner who can do a custom chip?

yeah there are but I dont know how many speciality shops there are over here who are proficient with alpha n, its a very extensive process from what I hear, lots of paramaters to map.

    APG,

I own #19 and I've been interested in these airboxes for years. You should do a search of my username and the key word "airbox" and you should come up with a number of informative threads.

    Here's 2 recent threads:

I believe PaulGTR purchased his airbox/alpha N chip from this eBay seller:

Since you're in Ontario, you should get in touch with Mark D'Sylva. He can provide you with custom software for your euro 3.0L. In fact, he recently provided custom tuning for another euro 3.0L M3 owner who rebuilt and stroked his S50 B30 to 3.2L.
