M3 18s or 19s on a 330??
I know that there has been a thread on this before, and I searched, but could not find it. What would I have to do to get the 18 inch M3 wheels to fit? What about the 19s? The 19s are probably just too big. Thanks.

the 18s front will fit fine, the back will not. Different offset. U would have to purchase 4 front wheels and that would work. Or you could do with Dronell M10 looks very similar and has a dish to it. I like those. 19s will not be too big. Used to have 19s on my 323ci which my sister drives and has no problems whatsoever. Looks PHAT.
go with 19s

What would I have to spend to get the ofset to work if at all possible? I am running 18" sport wheels, and they are only .5" narrower than the M3 18's in back. So there might be a minor change to make???

i don't know what the offset is, but normally when it's an offset problem... the tire ends up rubbing (and destroying) the suspension or the bodywork.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?

I'm guessing that the rear would be at a 20 or 15mm offset.
An 18mm spacer from Rogue Engineering would do the trick to make them fit. the question is if your car will fit the wider wheel in the rear. I don't see a reason why it won't, but you'll certainly be at risk if you lower the car by any amount without some serious body pounding/rolling in the rear. The rear wheels will stick out from the push of the spacers. Figure the M3 is already equipped with a factory wide body and your car isn't.
It can be done, it just depends on how crazy you are.

Ok, so i dont want it sticking out, how about 4 front 18's, would that look good? And will i lose something with the narrower rear tire?

Those dronell M-10s look nice. How much do they weigh?

what narrower tire? You can fit a 245mm on the rears if you want.
it'll look pretty good too.

245mm, is that the m3 18" rear wheel??? What are the specs on the M3 18" wheels?

I meant when fitting them onto the regular E46.

OK, i am getting confused. Let's straighten this out:
1) I want to put BMW (not off brand) 18" M3 wheels on my car.
2) Will they fit, or do I have to run four front wheels? If I run four front wheels, will the back wheels be narrower than what I have now?
3) Are 19s at all a possibility?
-
yes, you can fit either the factory 18 or 19" wheels from the front of the E46 M3 to all four corners of your car.
you can easily use up to a 245mm wide tire in the rear of your car on the factory wheels.
what size is on there now?

I have 18" M-V Spokes. An option on teh sports package.
-
BTW what does that mean 245mm, is that how wide the m3 wheels are?? Or does that mean how wide until they are sticking out of the bodywork?
-
245mm ?
here's exactly what I mean:
a 245/40/ZR18 Tire size means this:
245mm width, 40% of that width is the height of the sidewall.
Z speed rated is over 149+ mph
18 is the size wheel it is designed for, 18"
205/60HR15
205mm wide, 60% of 205mm tall sidewall, H Rated to 130mph fitting a 15" wheel.
The R stands for radial tire.
so when I say 245mm, I mean a 245mm wide tire.

Thanks, what is the MM for an M3 Rear 18?
-
I could only guess, maybe a 255?
even then, you'd be using 4 front wheels for your E46.

How wide are the front wheels, on the M3?
