whos else carry the Turner front subframe reinforcement plates?

anyone privately or a shop who I can buy the plates off immediately so they can be sent out tomorrow(saturday) via fedex overnight and so I will receive it by Monday??

I am in super rush to get them.

If anyone has a set they haven't had time to weld on yet and would like to sell to me , please let me know. Thanks!

Try emailing and leaving a message with Turner Motorsports. They might be able to Fedex to you to reach by Monday. If you really try hard, and nicely, maybe they could send you the instructions via email and you could have your shop fab similar pieces. They used to have the instructions on their website, but have taken them down. Unfortunately, I didn't grab them while I had the chance.

    Good luck with the repair!

Geesh, all they are is steel plates. Just make some templates outta card board, find some steel plate local to you, cut them out and weld them on.

True, but knowing where to put them is the key, hence my suggestion of begging for the instructions

I think you put them where the ripped open holes are Actually it shouldn't exactly be rocket science to look at the pics on Turner's site and then look at look at the subframe to see where they'd fit.

I think the picture of the plates on Turner's site are of the E30 version. They may be the same, but I am not sure. I wish I had kept those instructions. They were very detailed.

I tried figuring out where the Turner rear reinforcements go by the picture, and it was not obvious. I ended up making my own

You are probably right about the front reinforcement being pretty straightforward. No sense reinventing the wheel if you don't have to though

I am getting it replaced with a new subframe tomorrow.

Unfortunately there won't be any pics taken as I am dropping the car off at the shop before I go to work.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow. The last thing I need is the guy finding another problem with my car as he is fixing the current problem.

Geesh what more could go wrong with that? Maybe they'll find out that the previous owner replaced the 3.0L Euro motor with two Geo Metro 3-cylinder motors bolted together

    LOL...

Good luck on the repair LEVOC. I am sure that it will turn out fine. If you are going to toss the old part, would you mind tossing it my way? I realize that it is a long throw from Canada to California, but maybe we can get someone in the transport business to help out

PM or email me if you wouldn't mind.

    Bernman,

I will see if the guy will let me have my old part back. He has been turning down alot of my requests.. I am not too happy with his service so far. I don't think I'll ever go back there. But everything is set, for the work and I don't want to juggle the time and find a another place to do it.

Wow, I have never heard of a repair place that won't give you the old parts as long as you ask for them. I don't want to cause you any trouble though.

    Good luck!

You planned to repair the hole and crack and install in your car?

If i can get the subframe back, you want to pay for shipping the part to you?

I was hoping to repair, and do the reinforcement to the subframe, and then someday install it into my car. It is one of those projects that would be more fun than necessary

I would pay the shipping charges. We can work the deal over email if you wish.

    Thanks,

    Bernman,

I just got my car back. I was told my new subframe is much better quality than the old. The old one is thinner at about 2.2mm thick while the new subframe is 4mm thick. Also there is an extra bracket on the frame for the steering wheel rack which the old one didn't have.

I have a feeling my old subframe was probably the same one found in a 325. Since my M3 is a 94, it may have a different part than say a US M3 in the earlier E36 days.

Would you still want my subframe?
