    Transmission removal

    I'm removing the engine and transmission from my 525it the car is on blocks and I'm unable to reach the shift arm bushing bracket bolt can the transmission be removed without undoing the bolt?

    Undo the cable from the shift lever and feed it through the floor.

    If you can't reach that bolt, how are you reaching everything else? Like driveshaft or exhaust etc.
