My new DTM shift knob just arrived :-) (pic)

I finally got my very trick BMW DTM (German Touring Car Championship) shift knob. It is ultralight and feels very nice in the hand. Approx. 2 1/4 tall, 2 wide and the shifter insertion is about 1.5.
What do you think? And yes I know it kind of looks like adoor knob.
But hey, it is good and light enough for german Pro racers.
    Cheers,
    Herbert

I did have a question, it is threaded. Any idea what shifter might match up perfectly?

How do you guys recommend using them? Neither my MCoupe nor my Cooper S utilizes a threaded shift rod.

Personally, I prefer the short knob off a 330i zhp...replaced the lighted knob (now for sale) that came with stock with the Coupe and it feels (and looks) better IMHO. Its actually about an inch shorter than stock making the shift action feel even shorter. No need to put the UUC SSK on now.

Well I guess you're faster now w/ the lightweight knob....but I still prefer WSM over all others.

LMAO....knob is a little cheaper, plus my stock knob is trashed. I end up yanking it off during hard/quick 1-2 shifts.

Refund check is what Im planning on getting a motor with. And I file early so refund should be back fast. I'll let you know.
