JJ......you can wire these things a very super easy way if you care not to have another fuse block in the ride.
all you have to do is retain the fuse block/relay panel from the donor car. then it's just a matter of plugging all the stock engine wires back in place into said block......when that is done just figure out where you need to supply power to the box at (where it gets it from stock) and find a suitable source off the car (like the ignition switch) to tap into. this is the easiest way to go and allows you to retain the stock wiring manual for the year of the motor and for year of the car for trouble shooting purposes. there are cleaner methods out there that would leave you with only one fuse block at the end of the day, but that depends on your comfort zone with wiring.
DJ Professor is my name, swapping M20 motors into US spec e21's (with no 323 goodies) is my game.

wow! I just read the entire thread. So is the engine running yet?
Looks great!
Question: why didn't you use the E21 6-cyl motor mount brackets? Did they not fit? I thought all M20/M50/M52/M54 engines had the same mounting positions on the block...
Also, how did you get around the 10-degree angle difference in the way the transmission mounts? (this problem exists with M50/M52 engines too, by the way)
And finally, please give us details on the wiring if it's complete. Thanks!
Can you give more pics and details on what you did to the rear suspension and diff? Did you maintain the e21 trailing arm assembly? BTW This car looks
Could you post new pics of the engine mounts? I think I may be trying a M52 swap in the very near future. I read the entire post, but I couldn't get the older picture links to work. I would greatly appreciate it or a new link to the pics. Thanks.
Good god, that is a nice build!
BTW, welcome my fellow Hungarian.
Attila
WOW, what an awesome build!!!! Super clean and those brakes... the pure sex!!!!!! I give this build 2 thumbs up!
Nice build, loving the brakes.
Please give us details as to how the engine swap and brake mods you did.
Is the car driveable and how much power do you have?

Many quiestion, I will try to answer to all
But fist let's the pictures talk
The original e21 motormounts doesnt fit. Also the M54b30 is longer then m20 you must take the engine as back as possible.
The transmition mounts I use a different part from skoda.
The gearbox link I was rotated.

holy jeez I want to lick your car. That is absolutely pimptastic. Everything is top notch. Perfect new cad plated hardware.. wow. Nice idea to just rotate the shifter plate to account for the trans angle.
I love the reversed stock diff mount welded on to the diff cover. I'm glad you posted a close up pic of that. I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing, I have a spare diff cover to sacrifice.
Looks great, but why is the diff cover reverse mounted

My M30 carb intake
Impressive build. What was the skoda that you used to mount from?
I'd rather be driving...
I used Skoda motor mount rubber to mount the gearbox.
It is tighter than original.
Some picture of the custom 2x2" exhaust system
Handly built!!!
hey which calipers and rotors are those? from what car? model and such? Thanks
I got a ticket for having a mutilated license
Jól néz ki Zolibácsi, tetszik nagyon. Looking good!
@Kingoftramac: Calipers comes from Porsche 944 turbo. The rotors front e32, rear e46.
@TramacE21: Köszi! Már nagyon vártuk, hogy elinduljon
This thread needs to keep going! I'm very excited for more details. Also, is there any way to repost some of the old pictures? The links to them are no longer good.
