"Let's work through a comparative example for the same car on a Dynapack and Dynojet.

Car A produces 205 hp to the hubs on the Dynapack. This would equate to between 225-230 hp at the flywheel. The same car produces 195 hp to the rollers on a Dynojet. This would equate to 222-226 hp at the flywheel. Furthermore, the difference in power matches up very well with our calculated difference due to inertial losses. And interestingly enough, we have tested just such a car on our Dynapack and a Dynojet back to back with the same results (actually 196 vs. 206 hp)."

Update on my previous reply in this thread ( http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...79#post8680479 )

since replacing my head gasket and replacing all of my exhaust valves (they were all slightly bent due to a mis-shift a while ago) i got re-dyno'd at the same place and picked up 10rwtq and 5rwhp.

    mods are same as before:
    M50 Intake Manifold
    Conforti 3.5" CAI
    AA Custom Software
3.5" HFM (unplugged, refer to previous reply here for explanation)
    Fan Delete
    Strömung Exhaust
    UUC Stg2 Ltw Flywheel w/ Stg1 Clutch
    AA Track Pipe

again, yes it is a dynapack and no it's not flywheel hp like it says. it does read a bit higher than a dynojet because hp is measured at the wheel hub, without the drivetrain loss of the tire/wheel.

for the sake of comparison a stock e46 M3 dyno'd at the same place and pulled 246rwtq/296rwhp. from what i've seen i believe it reads around 15-20 higher than a dynojet, there's an equation to figure it all out on their website like speedinfusion listed: http://home.earthlink.net/~spchurch/...ting/id12.html
UUC EVO III SSK | M50 Intake Manifold | Conforti 3.5" CAI | AA Software | 3.5" HFM (unplugged)
    Fan Delete | Strömung Exhaust | UUC Stg2 Ltw Flywheel | X-Brace | AA Track Pipe | 3.46 Differential

Yes, 22 NOS and 14 FUEL, in each fogger, thats with 45 psi fuel pressure, and an avg. of 1050 bottle pressure. It is definitely running rich I could probably clean it up by drilling my own .135 (the bit is available in the NOS drill set) fuel jet but I will be increasing the NOS instead.

Thanks, I thought that as well. I was expecting 215-220max. I always knew this M3 pulled abnormally hard though.

    1997 E36 M3 Evo (321 BHP)

M3 evo 321bhp? - not according to this dyno?

    Car: 1997 E36 M3 evo - 321BHP - UK car spec. (STOCK)
Just had Dyno Dynamics standard shootout mode results - real bad..

check these out and let me know if you also think these numbers are dreadful.

    wheel torque: 210 ft/ib
    wheel HP: 195.9 HP
    Crankshaft HP: 239.8 HP

BMW say they cant run any diags on the engine to see why this is? cop out i say. they spend all my hard earned money on part changing if i let them.

    thanks for any replies.

I dyno\d my M3 before i went to race SCCA. I had been driving the car for at least 2 hours and it was 95 deg F with 35% Humidity. I am using this as my baseline performance for comparison after i finish the turbo project on it.
