    E36 M3 Dyno Sheet Library

This is going to be a sticky thread where we all can post our dyno sheets so they aren't scattered throughout the forum.

    Please include:

    Year:
    Build Date:
    Mods:
    Dyno Type:
    Dyno Conditions:
    Gear Dynoed:
    Peak HP:
    Peak Torque:

Under mods, please include motor swaps, OBD-I or OBD-II (if this differs from 96+ having OBD-II) and anything else you have done/added.

Under dyno conditions, if you do not know the temperature and/or humidity, please include the date so we can get a feel for the weather.

Please note whether hp/torque numbers are SAE corrected or not.

The graphs we are looking for are hp/rpm, torque/rpm, and AFR/rpm. Please include all three if possible.

question for those with the hfm setups:
What type of HFMs are used? 540, euro?
Also, where were the 24# injectors sourced? From tuner or Ford Motorsport?

All these dyno graphs were done on different dynos, different conditions--hard to say what these numbers mean?.

Because you won't be able to rev it up until the end because of the speed governor in the 5th speed? Just guessing...

yeah, good point. Shouldn't be an issue for OBD-1 or sharked cars though.

and I guess some dynos can't handle speeds that high? I know my local dynojet can.

On euro S50B32 cars you can reach the topspeed limiter in 5th, as you need to go to 7600 RPM. That's why 4th is used. Also some dyno's don't allow 250+ km/u on the rollers

Put down 300.2rwhp on a different dyno, but going to redyno again on a Dynojet.

I heard that the 1:1 is 4th for a 5spd car. If you have a 4spd car, then its 3rd. You could always call up ur local dyno shop and ask just to make sure.

that might be true for other cars, but the ZF trannies in the e36 m3's & probably all the 3 series have a 1:1 5th gear. and the euro 6 spd gearbox has the same gears 1-5 with a true overdrive 6th @ .83:1 or something like that

So I'm almost ebarrassed to post my graph, but I will when I get it. 204whp 188tq. 3rd gear pulls, dyno dynamics dyno unit. I was really bummed until an 03 turbo porsche put down 300whp, and a stock 04 gti put down 138whp.

you should be pretty happy with that, dyno dynamics always read a lot lower than dynojet, you could add around 12% to that to be similar to reading you would get on dynojet

dyno dynamics are also limited to 200kph, which is why our euro's are run in 3rd gear, 4th goes over 200kph
    cheers, Alan
