If it still has the stock 95 midpipe you're losing an easy 20+ hp. Especially with all the other mods on the car. Going to even some cheap headers (euro supersprint reps or similar) and a 3" exhaust on a car with as many mods as you've already got would probably be closer to 30whp up top.

Not sure if these are SAE numbers or how accurate the engine hp/tq estimation is (first time at the dyno). Saw that the printout contains a CF (correction factor?) of 1.00, but I'm not sure if that means it's a true hp representation or if it wasn't adjusted.
Not sure how accurate the reading is but if it's at least close I'm pretty happy that I haven't lost too many ponies over the course of almost 20 years

Sure did lol, fixed.
Dyno chart is here: http://imgur.com/W8dBdFZ

Power mods are:
Cosmos 3.5" intake
ASC delete
M50 manifold
Becker long-tube headers
Modified midpipe/stock cats
B&B Triflo catback
Markert Motor Works dyno tune
Needless to say, I'm a very happy man. The car now makes as much or more power from 5500-7000rpm than it did at its peak of 6500rpm pre-tune. And keep in mind, this tune was applied after the DME had 150+ miles to get used to the M50 manifold and headers, so realistically it probably jumped from 215ish to 235ish with the manifolds and the tune.
I'm really curious to see what I could make at the top end with no cats... but I like being street-legal.

The older i get, the faster i was !
As is the fact that what must be wild cams are making 235 lbs at 2750 rpm and peaking at 287 lbs. This is exceptional based on everything I have read over the past decade about modding these motors, but img knows what he is doing so I would enjoy reading about how he is achieving these results.
Thank you !
Riot racing BBTB, might try the bimmerworld for fun. Cams have been sitting in the shelf for over 3 years. They were ordered by my business partner who built the motor and never got around to installing them.

Thank you !
i will do a write up at some point if I can remember all the details. Engine was built back in 2003 and has over 150k since the build but always made power.
The older i get, the faster i was !
I'm about to switch to a VAC75mm from my RRBBTB to see if the top end pics up at all. I'm also about to receive my custom header build from Zack at 22RPD.com. I'd be VERRYYY interested in cam info. I'm down 200cc from your motor, but if I could see another 20ft/lbs+ in the lower rev range, I'd be all over that! Is the motor solid lifter or still hydraulic?

I have been waiting years to post onto this section... I have read, I have guessed, I have hoped.. Quick introduction before I get to my numbers. I recently graduated college and have had my 98 m3 since the start of college and have always dreamed of making more power and throwing it on the dyno. Turns out, all I needed to do was money shift and bend all the exhaust valves (plus a job to make money and then throw it all into the car of course!). But to do this, I had to sit and wait 5 months to have the money to throw at this thing. And simply put, I am a very happy camper! The car is a beast and the tuning done by Dave Markert at Markert Motorworks in Atlanta was solid. So here are the mods and numbers!
(I'm going to post this and update with videos and dyno graphs as I get them loaded!)
Year:
-1998 M3/2/5
Build Date:
-4/98
Mods:
-K&N Filter
-3" Autozone 45' elbow
-stock MAF
-3" silicon elbow
-stock throttle body
-Schrick 276/270 cams
-Supertech Springs
-Raceland Headers to custom 3" exhaust w/ Vibrant Resonator and straight through muffler
-Markert Motorworks tune
-Fidanza? Flywheel to stock clutch
Dyno Type:
-DynoJet
Dyno Conditions:
-83 F
-37.x Humidity
-600ft of elevation
Gear Dynoed:
-4th
Peak HP:
-263.99whp
Peak TQ:
-239.75wtq
Note that these numbers were achieved with the stock MAF maxing out at 6k rpm and then tuning the gap between 6k-7.2k rpm. With a euro MAF, 3.5" intake, and BBTB, I'm hoping for 5-10whp more than this!
Also, Dave was able to tune in launch control and burble tune (just for fun and can be turned off and on). Videos to come!

Seems like a few suspicious things being omitted. It's definitely not a 3.2L engine you dont make that torque from 3.2l with those specs. The s54 requires a built stroker 3.4/3.5L custom cams or not . Also with only 24lb injectors must be running them at higher pressure than stock ?
