cause bmw tried to cover all the bases when it came to selling the car in the usa. ie - there is a market for slushbox m3s, bmw took advantage of it. sure it's like riding a motorcycle with training wheels but that's what some people want. the SMG has replaced the automatic in the newer model bmws.Originally Posted by PENER
