Winter make over has started, having got rid of my 19's for some tasty 9.5x17 deep dish RH ZW1's my interior didn't really go with the planned euro look The red and black theme could almost be called 'ricer' Time to rip it out and start again!!!
Pic of how my interior looked..... Black and Red alcantara trimmed dash with Cobra Misano's
PIC OF THE DASH BEFORE I INSTALLED THE MISANO'S
Always thought Red paintwork and Tan interior would go together perfectly (works for Ferrari!!)
The first starting point and the main impact.....new seats!!! off loaded my red and black Misano's and placed an order for 2 tan leather naked carbon backed Misnaos ot kick start the make over.....collected them today
Other interior worked planned is tan leather door card centres (not doing the door tops like the old interior) centre console and dash in tan leather
Cue the picture fest of the new seats......
When I get to work on the other parts of the interior I'll up date this thread as I go along

wow those seats are sweet, how much for those bareback carbon fibre ones.
There £750 each not including runners or subframes think that works about $1350 ishOriginally Posted by MillerTime1nine

That black and red was so hot, so fly, so dope. A tad ricey (especially that center ///M console-cover thing), but I would not start over. The black/red Cobra's are pure sex.

Will all come good in the end....Originally Posted by Powerslide

Damn those seats look comfy!Originally Posted by andy318iS
In the first pic I think it looks great with the red. In the second there's just a bit too much red on the dash and console. If it was a bit more subtle it would look better IMO. I like the new seats too!
Of course it probably looks different in person

WTB: For my M3: BBS 17x9 Wheels I want more, even if you only have 1. For my 323is: Driver's side coupe black door panel ('98 SRS style)
I'm so jealous. Those seats are amazing!
Looking god so far!
Monster update!!!
I'm thinking you US boys will hate this......
Following on from relocating my window and hazard switches I thought it was a good time to move a few other switches I didn't want on show mainly just trying to de-clutter the interior 8)
Headlight switch, fog light switch, dial brightness (dont really know the correct erm), headlight height adjuster & sunroof switch
There will be other bits being moved and smoothed over the next week or so, hopefully make a big difference to the interior 8)
Sunroof switch
Pretty straight forward, exposed all the wiring and just extended to the new location
Headlight & dial brightness adjusters
Man I cant beleive I was once happy with the dash trim rip it out and do it properly!
Headlight & fog switches
Loads of wires to extend!! plenty of soldering and wrapping in insulation tape on the joints
Looks pretty tidy to me
Positions of the new switches etc....just need to make a little housing for them all.
P.S yea they do all work
First bit of tan is in 8)....leather is shed loads thicker than the alcantara so its going to take a while to get used to working with it, makes you realise what a talent Sleeper has got!!
Sunroof panel (minus switch)

PLEASE NOTE THE RED ON THE DOORCARDS IS NOT STAYING!
Bit of a peek at how the retrims coming along 8) slung it all in just to see how it all looks, a few bits need tweaking etc....so it'll all be coming out tomorrow :
Got a second set of plain black doorcards to fit, centres to be tan of course
p.s the back half of the centre console ISN'T finished, still need to finish off the pocket
Project headlining & sunroof
Started by dropping out the entire sunroof cassette to remove the sunroof panel, its seem quite a daunting task but when you start getting down to undoing torx screws etc.. it all falls into place.
Was suprisingly heavy! deffo a 2 person job tbh, I did it by myself using arms, legs and head to support the cassette whilst trying to get it out the car
bish bash bosh.... about 25 T20 torx screws...out it came
Right next up was getting the panel out....no big deal tbh more torx screws, my black sunroof panel was actually going to dj and in exchange I was getting his grey one to trim, helps him out so its all good
Also a piece of trim I'd over looked was a black vynil type stuff that is stuck to the underside of the actual sunroof so you cant see any of the body colour when the sunroof is in the tilt position, so with that pulled off and given to dj I had to use his old grey one as a patten so I could cut one out of tan lether 8) if I'm going tan I may as well go ott
Needed to get the sunroof off the cassette to fit the new tan piece... so another 3 bolts saw the sunroof come off
Old nasty grey sunroof panel and piece that sticks to the sunroof
New tan piece
Next up sunroof.....
Off with the old grey cloth that was stuck down to fuckery! cloth came off but stuck down hard was the backing to the cloth, kinda plastic type stuff......2 hours! to remove all the shite! using a stanley blade to slice it all off carefully making sure I didn't damge the paint......WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!! all shall be explained....
You can see on the second picture there are 2 strips that span the panel, they are pressed in to give the panel some strength, fair do's... the grey cloth was thin enough to be pulled tight over the panel to bridge the gaps over the strips.....
thought I give the leathering ago but no matter now much I stretched the leather is just wouldn't span the strips satisfactory, it would do been good enough but ent good enough for me.
So that meant pulling the leather off and filling the strips with filler and smoothing out the sunroof panel! this is the second skim off filler (not sanded yet) will sand it down tomorrow give it a spray of red oxide primer and finally be able to trim it and get the results I'll be happy with
Damn that looks nice. Are you doing it all yourself?
If so, what kind of adhesive are you using. Have you has to stitch any of the leather yet, or has it all just been pasted right up?
Also, how much did all of that leather run you?
Finally, are you ripping the vinyl off, or just putting leatehr on top of it?

YUM! I read your write-up on the UK board and the car is simply coming along beautifully. I love the radical and tasteful modifications like yours, keep it up.

I am impressed. That seems like a huge project to take on, and you have made it look really nice. Seems like you had a great plan, and great execution. Everything looks quality.
