How long to call? (Question for the guys)

Question for the guys....

A girl calls you up to say hi, chat, find out how your day was on lets say Sunday. She says give me a call this week to hang out, you ask what her schedule is like for the week, and you say you'll definetly call. How long do you wait to call her to get together? Whats reasonable?

background information: you've been hitting on her a lot and you both enjoy each others company.

What do you guys say :-)

I've never been one to follow the you have to wait x numbers of days blah blah bah, certainly the next day is a little much, but I call bascailly whenever is next convenient could be 2 days to a week

OK now you're asking advice on-line? You have it bad for him....Anyway to answer your question, I would usually wait till Wed, based on your scenario. Reason? Well, since most "hanging out" occurs on the weekends, the 2 day layover usually gives the impression that "I" am not a slobbering fool that just couldn't wait to go out with her(unless you like this) and the next 2 days(Thurs & Fri) gives her time to "get ready" or plan, so as to not just throw something at her in short notice....Girls do freak out about his, no? But this is just me.... :-) Like I said...Good Luck...take no $hit...kick his a$$ if he does....

Are you a female hitting on another female ? Assuming so cuz your name is 325isGirl. I dunno if y'all have different rules of engagment since girls are so picky about that stuff cuz guys can never figure out what a girl wants. But if your a female also maybe you'd understand the whole thing. Eh that made no sence.

If you have talked to the other person some what call them back on monday. Judge the conversation from there if it would be easy to bring up going out then try it.

I usually go by feel. If I really like her and she shows the same towards me, I might call on monday or tuesday just to say hi and talk. Of course I don't want to come across as a stalker so it would probably be a quick "hello, just thinking of you" kinda call. I wouldn't worry too much if he doesn't call until thurs. If he calls on friday to make a date that night, tell him you're busy and move on. That's just inconsiderate.

I hate this game... just call, if you want to talk sooner, call them, if they want to talk sooner, they'll call you....

It always turned me off when there was an "expectation" that I called or didn't call.... welcome to high-maintenance hell.

I hear ya...I really never got to play "the game" my answer was always for people that do...I rarely like someone off the bat that I would hesitate to call...most girls I meet I will call when I had a reason to, whether it be the next day or next week...The worst case is to call and have no reason to...I'd call as a friend, even if I did like her, I always kept my expectation down, as to not to get myself so worked up and anxious...(read: turn into a babbling fool)..usually it would take a while to actually "like" her and by then you shouldn't have to worry about "when should I call?" There should be a good realtionship set up by then...But his can also back fire and you become "good friends!" I HATE when that happens.....Yes I have a lot of "girl" friends.....That sux!!! But that's another story...Help 325isGirl....

Well I called him to chat, and told him to call me sometime this week to hang out. So I dont think it would be right if I called again to say, want to get together later? He said he would, so there is a bit of an expectation to hear back.

More background information: I've known him for a few months and have been hanging out with him at parties.

You're giving bits and peices about your "relationship" with him....If you guys been hangin' out at parties for a few months now and he hasn't called, and you obviously made the first move by calling him, he should be "ready" or, basically, have no problems calling you. Unless you come off as some sort of freaky girl(hopefully not)....Oh..... umm....well this probably isn't going the way you would like... Sooo maybe he a social moron or there's something wrong "upstairs?" How come I feel like I'm in HS/college again? <:-P

it all depends on how strong your game is. Kinda like kissing, its best if you wait until the girl has lost hope in you calling. They are a lot happier to hear you call after they lose hope, but still have interest. You basically want to kiss the same way too. Its a dirty game ya'll
