Aftermarket radio harness for M Roadster & other questions

    1. I have a Pioneer radio I want to put in a 2000 M Roadster. Crutchfield has not researched the wiring harness plug for this car, but they do have one for a Z3. Anyone know if the wiring would be the same or know where to get one?
    2. Any special problems with the amps?
    3. I understand I'd also need the antenna adapter as well, but there seem to be several on different sites and I don't know which to pick. It looks like I have an amplified antenna.
    4. What do the radio removal tools look like for the existing BMW radio? Blunt or sharp angle?
    5. Any other out of the ordinary items I need to take into consideration before installing?

    Thanks.

Ok, thanks. Found a wiring harness at Car Domain. Found out about the radio removal.

there's two bmw harnesses. one is like metra 99-8520 or something like that, which is for 1992-1999 three series i believe, and one is a HUGE 99-9001 or something like that for new bimmers and volkswagens.

do you have a pic of your dash?? i haven't seen the dash on a 2000 m roadster, but if i see a pic i can tell you what kit it is.

antenna adapter is probably gonna be like a met 40vw10 or met 40eu10 from metra.

The huge harness may be the Logic 7 harness. Well, that's my best guess anyway.

It uses the same harness as the E36. I've swapped headunits from my 318 to my M Coupe and back before.

Cardomain has a wiring harness they list as fitting my car so I'll probably get that one. I've asked them to try to figure out which antenna adapter will work because their listing is for one that works without an amplified one and mine is amplified.
