You can do a free rental of a spring compressor from Advance Auto (You buy it and return for full price when you're done). This is not slimy, it's their enticement for you to buy other stuff for your project from them. They do the same thing for alternator wrenches and some other less commonly used tools

Anyone in southern Maryland have an OBDII Peake Code Reader?

I'm throwing the P0420 code from a generic OBDII scanner but would like a more specific answer to what is causing it. I have emissions inspection coming up soon and would rather figure out the issue before that.

    Thanks

would anybody happen to have the tools needed to remove the fan clutch?

I'm pretty low on cash right now so hopefully I could borrow them for a few hours without much of a charge.

    Thanks

lol thanks for telling me exactly what the generic OBDII scanner would. I already know this. This could be anything from intake vacuum leaks, gaskets, oxygen sensors, cat, etc.

I'm looking for a Peake Tool that will give a more SPECIFIC answer.

Hey all, I'm looking for two rear subframe bushing tools. One removes/installs the differential-to-subframe bushings and the other removes/installs the subframe-to-body bushings. I'm basically looking to replace everyone bushing you see here. E46 non-m rear subframe.

    Fan clutch tools

Does anyone have the fan clutch tools for E36 M50 near West Chester, Pa? I have the 32mm wrench, I just need the tool to hold the pulley still. I keep snapping screwdrivers in half trying to do it without it...

I going to be redoing my head gasket soon. I need the cam locking tool, torx for the head bolts, and the little locking pin thingy. Any one have this stuff.

I have a peake code reader, ramps, jack stands, tools, and a garage to work in.

Hi - I could use some help next weekend on a 1996 318ic if someone has the SRS scan tool near Vienna. I can pick it up within driving distance. Thanks

Anyone near north east PA have the tools for removing the fan clutch? In particular, something to hold the water pump pully still. I could probably find the 32mm wrench on my own if I need to
