    No BMW yet.

How reliable are E46 325i's? Do they break often?

My dad was looking at a 2005 325i but isn't sure if he wants to go with BMW because the parts are more expensive when they break or have problems. What is your experience as far as problems with these cars? I don't know too much about them as far as maintenance or reliability goes.

    Thanks.

They are great as long as you take care of your car, and then they will last a very long time.

I hate my car honestly and im selling it. The interior is falling apart from the heat in my country. Mind you my car has only 20k Miles, my windows motor just went out yesterday. My E36 is holding its self way better.

Bmw's are great cars. If anything it'll be electrical problems nothing mechanicle. And seeing how its a 2005 it probably still has warrenty which is also a plus too.
