I just thought, that I very rarely check out the Meets forum. I usually miss all the events.

Maybe (just a suggestion) we can make a separation into regions, by spread with links into other pages/forums:

meets>>>regions (North-East, South-East etc.)>>>Suburban Areas of the specific region.

And if you could sign up for notifications (of new threads posted to your Regional Forum)

Yeah, DTM had this and even they decided to squish them back all together.

It's more manageble the way it is now.

DTMs is still seperate... you just can't tell on the main page.... I was checking them out yesterday

It seems like a good idea but using DTM as an example again, the forums rarely have meets in them so you have to slog through just as much "any good shops in the ny/nj area" and "Anyone here from North Jersey?" before you actually find a thread about a real live meet.

Most meets are planned well in advance too..... if you check the Gatherings/Meets forum once every 2 weeks you should be fine

DTMs meet board is still separate.. just sub forums of 1 forum.

Our Gatherings board doesnt really get much traffic as is.. altho a good idea. I dont think there is enough posts to fill any 1 region.

Flip.. whats the real difference if u check the gatherings board or another board for ur region?

if you subscribe to a forum (go to the forum) then locate that the top the "Subscribe to Forum" button, don't you automatically get emails when a new post is made into that forum?

well, first of all, I've been to DTM only 2 or 3 times ever, so I wasn't sure about the meets setup over there.

And I want to be able to subscribe to my local area's forum, and not get a gazillion emails telling me, that there was a post in Jersey or smth.

its a good idea.. but there isnt many posts in the board. If we had many postings for meets and shows.. it would warrant the need to split the forum.
