Some hints for repairing the clips of A, B, C pillars which often break. I did the repairs with fiberglass kits and remodelled the clips, here from my E32 750 C pillar

on other cars we also used a soldering iron and some plastic to fix broken clips, as shown here on my site http://twrite.org/shogunnew/fixes/headliner.html
Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!

Can original cloth not be reused?

mine is unmarked, and seems a shame to dump it. It’s sagging, so just checking is there any reason to not try and reuse it?

    thanks

this thread is pretty old, but generally i dont think so. when my fabric started sagging it was the fabric separating from the foam padding. so in that case even though the fabric looked nice there was no way that you could glue it back to the foam. it wouldt adhere for long and the glue would soak through the fabric and not look too.

i tried to redo mine with faux suede but.... that did not go well for me. i ended up getting a diy flocking kit, usually used in racing for dashes to keep glare down.
