Find my dad an e46 m3 or equivalent in the MAR

he doesn't want a 2001, so oldest would have to go 2002-2004. He won't buy a brand new one.

Anything good in the area that's not on cars.com or autotrader.com?

Me thinks he's about to hit his mid-life crisis really soon....he's been talking about e46 m3 more than usual...but has also been thinking 996 C4S

    Hondas, a RWD Scion
CTS-V, Z06, slightly used older NSX??

I'd try to talk him into the 996 a little more.

c6 z06 has sparked his interest quite a bit as well...

yeah, I would really love it if he got a 993 C4s or even Turbo...

    I second the vote for a 996.

If you're going to go through a midlife crisis, there's no better tool for the job.

Chris - we already discussed this before - but I think if your father is looking to get a Porsche that a Carrera 4s (993 or 996) is the logical choice. My father has a 993 c4s, and while he has test-driven TTs before and after his purchase, he is happy with his current vehicle as he has no need for the additional power.
AFAIK - in addition to the visual improvements of the widebody, you also get the turbo brakes and suspension. Since it sounds like your dad might be anti-aftermarket mods, this would be a nice upgrade over a base carrera.

My dad has a 996 cab. I prefer 993's (aircooled, perhaps better handling).
But the 996 is certainly a great car. No complaints.

993TT is like a big, bad, air-cooled-twin sport bike. it may be slower than the newest supersport bikes, but that shiot's got character.
