Yeah, I have a V1 blower, which is a lot louder than the newer V2 SQ (super quiet) units.

You can get a $20 set at Wal Mart. Personally I don't use em because it's always a bunch of chatter and BS going on and you usually can't hear what anyones saying.

Yep, I agree. They ARE infinitely helpful. I probably would have been hit several times by oncoming traffic if it weren't for those radios. But the reception isn't that great in the canyons though. Only helpful for those nearby.

I did notice, however, that walkie talkie convos with BMW owners aren't as fun as they were when I had my Audi.

Not sure why. Maybe the people? The type of owners?

Unless you have headphones you can't hear most of them...well I'll make that in my car anyhow.

I think you can buy some better quality walkies at fry's, and yes they are usfefull... hopefully people keep the playing around on them to a minimal. The Advantage of buying a Walmart one is that you can return it after the drive. (Excellent return policy) :

Werd. Get the Motorola's they have alot better range and you can get the cheep ones for like$ 30-40 bucks for a pair. If you don't loose them they will be worth the money, among my family I had 4 but I can't find any

as far as 2-ways go I found these (there is no walmart in my area...the yuppies here prevent that from happening) so I found these at Best Buy...figured I would get some nice ones...I know I don't have to spend so much, but I'm like that...
