You can get similar material from a company called Purple Pig. (I'm serious) I'm not sure if they operate in Qld. but try their website. It's sold as sound deadening material. Cut it to the size you want and stick it on. Do it to all my 02's I restore.

Hey guys hows it going?

I've just bought my 1st BMW and I'm pretty excited about it! It's nothing special, an E30 318i coupe, which I plan to have resprayed early in the new year. Following that will be some suspension work, with some exhaust and minor engine work to come soon after!

I'm a mechanic by trade, so I'll be doing all the work myself time permitting. I'm a member of the Holden Sporting Car Club of Victoria, do a fair bit of racing down here and plan to use my new toy (nicknamed Barry by my good self and some mates after a few beers) for hillclimbs and track days when the Commodore race car is out of action.

A few questions, and excuse my BMW naievity. Can you fit any other engines in the 318i, or am I stuck with the M10? I'm also chasing a front bumper bar to replace the slightly mangled one currently in my possesion. Looking forward to being part of the Bimmerforums! I'll get some pics up soon!

Have had my E24 for almost a year, love it with a passion

Had an E30 for about 10 years before that, wish my garage was bigger, I'd still have it.

Before the E30 I had VWs and had a brief flirtation with Alfas & Fiats, but came to my senses eventualy.

My name is Paul. I have just joined the forum and as there is no ME group thought I would drop in on the Aussie one.
I am an aussie living in the UAE. Currently own a 98 2.8 Z3 (200,000 mi) and a '99 E39 540i (70,000km). Just bought the E39 after having a "head on" in my E34 540i - thank God for airbags.
Previously lived in Bahrain, where I had an E32 735i, and Hong Kong where I owned an E30 Cab, an E30 sedan and an E34 540i.
Am currently thinking about trading the wife's Nissan Patrol in on an X5.

Does anyone have any experience with Japanese Nav systems and converting them to a western system ????

Hey guys, I just bought my first BMW

It's a dark blue E39 528i, with E46 M3 front, sunroof, and 19" M5 copies. Since I've tasted boost with my weekend car, plans for the bimmer revolve around a
GT3540 and an 8860, but not for at least 12 months, I need to finish off my other 2 cars first.

By the way, I'm in Melbourne, are there any localised BMW clubs/forums in AUS? I've struggled to find any forums BMW related other than this one and the DTMpower one!

I'm in sydney and have a 98 318is coupe in arctic silver. I have just had it for 3 weeks love it. Just looking now to put some 18's on it.
Can some one let me know more about angel eyes should I buy the ones on ebay that are complete units for 500 or should i just buy the rings and install them let me know if anyone has done any of these.

Hi all Brisbane here. Have posted once before but don't think I was in the Aus section. Always wanted a bm now am proud first time bm owner - 2003 318i sapphire black, just love it. Stock but want ot add fogs and xenon up front.
