Hi all Aussie Bimmerers,
Just bought my stepdad's silver 93 318i 2 days ago. following rego have already got a to-do list lol :
- angeleye/altezza headlight upgrade
- clear/tail + led upgrade kit
- fog lights
- keyless remote/immobiliser kit
- new rear shocks
questions : ebay for all of the above ? somewhere better ? Any gotchas ?

Hi all,
I too am new at posting on this forum however have navigated around it for a while now!
My current car is a '97 Hellrot Red 328i coupe with AC Schnitzer goodies on it.
My previous ride was a '94 Black 318i which was purchased stock as a block and looked like a 4x4 until I started on it! It was a nice car though I must admit even though it lacked the grunt. Hopefully I can include some photos soon in case anyone wants to see the rides.
Are there any people from the northern end of Melbourne around here?

Hey Gord0 i had a '94 318i which at first was stock as a block. I was looking at the visual appeal more than the grunt so what i did was consult good ol' ebay for most of my items. Having said that though i must stress that you do get what you pay for. There are a lot of inferior items being advertised at appealing prices however dont get fooled into purchasing something if its cost appears too good to be true.Originally Posted by Gord0

Those were all purchased through ebay along with numerous other things from both domestic and international sellers.
- New headlights with angel eyes (the CCFL ones not LED)
- Clear lights all around (front and side indicators along with rear)
- Fog lights
- Lowering springs
The prices at the time were pretty high, back then (being over 3 years ago) the headlights cost me around $500, xenons HID another $500, clear lights all around total about $400, fog lights $150 and springs about $200.
You gotta be carefull with the lights due to the moisture buildup that can occur if they are very cheap and of poor quality!

Hi, I'm new to this Euro car stuff - my previous car was a gemini, I don't want to talk about it.
I've just made purchase of an e30 323i coupe. There's a few things I would like to do to it in the future.. but for now, as a student, I probably won't be doing much else other than driving it.

A '98 that I was looking at (carsales.com.au id 4205692 from Adelaide Motors) has a widescreen, does anyone know if that was a special edition because I thought the widescreens came out on the 2001 models. Could this be an import or a retro fit?
I have wanted to get a Beemer for a long time now and cant wait to get one now, I am however willing to wait for the right one.

hey guys I'm in brisbane, don't as yet own a bmw but my g/f really wants one after we buy our house, thinking of a black 95 320 not 100% yet but we're thinking of doing the usual modern mods like lights etc but also looking into doing a sr20 engine conversion so that's the pland for now, if we had more money a 1J would be better but a 2L engine will do

Hey, Ive now owned my Bimmer for 11 days and Im loving it! This is my first Bimmer and I have now vowed to stick to BMWs for the rest of my life. Ive got E36 318is with a custom E46 M3 front bar, M3 Leather and lowered on King springs. All i really want to add is angel eyes and maybe put in some wood trim, other then that Im loving it.
