Duckwing90, are you still in need of parts, I have a pretty much complete 1995 325i 5spd manual that is just collecting dust in the shed, I am willing to negotiate something if you are interested, I'm from Nowra (About 9 hours away, but I am more than happy to meet you halfway if necessary.
Cheers.
Hi, I have a '96 E34 540i and '84 E30 318i.
I was trying to find a facebook group for Aussie BMW owners but couldn't, so I've created one. Anyone interested can find it at
Also if anyone is interested in helping as an Admin I'd appreciate it, especially if someone has experience being an admin for a facebook group.
Hi Guys. Just got myself a late 2005 E60 530D. Loving it.
Except I can't stream audio. Planning on installing the aux cable to the iDrive system (and adding a Bluetooth dongle to allow for streaming) and have the hardware sorted but I believe the iDrive needs to be coded to make it recognise the input.
Does anyone know someone in Melbourne that knows how to code the iDrive? Asked a dealer and the guy quoted me 6-8 hours so clearly he had no idea what he was talking about.
All suggestions appreciated. Cheers & thanks!
Good Day All

e36 318is Central coast NSW , pretty dead thread but worth a post.
Another Perthite here! 1993 320i in Alpine White.
Do people still use forums? I thought it was all on facebook these days...
Was last in this thread in 2005'ish with my first E36.
Since then ive had 9 of them, currently 4 in the shed, one with a 1JZ, another that has done 1000km in the past 4 years.
More E36 spare parts than youll find at most wreckers, if youve bought parts on gumtree theres a good chance ive supplied them.
Went to nissans for a while but had to come back.
From what I've seen on the FB pages, lots of modding and flogging of vehicles and other stuff. Not really my cup of tea, plus the pages are specific to certain bodytypes, or too broad for my liking and as such you end up with posts of zero interest polluting your feed.Originally Posted by M3 wannabe
Plus its far easier to search forum posts on cars than Facebook; Google search or this forum's search will yield practically any iota of information you could ever need. Its also far easier to have a decent conversation on the forums among several people, the quote function is so useful, as is the ability to private message if need be.
Lastly, to add to the above, you can choose which subforums to participate in, rather than get bombarded with notifications for stuff of no relevance. If I don't want to know about a 2017 3-series, I don't have to.
