Hey fellaz,

umm new to the site just joined, got a black beemer 320i 95 model, with 18inch M3's. I want some 19's real soon im 18 in 4 months and just wondering on what everyones advice would be.

I have been told all black with chrome dish, or all chrome looking pimped out haha. or the other one was black tro match the car with some chrome in the actual pattern. e.g FLASH MC on the ttf website.

G'day all,
New here, and have little knowledge on BMW's, despite being a mechanic for 30+ years!
Never thought I would get interested in them until a week ago when I was given a rusted out old 1980 E21 that is beyond saving. The look of this old thing (what's left of it ) has just kind of grown on me, (uh-oh) and looking at pics of much better ones helped boost the inkling to consider looking for another one to maybe restore or whatever.

My first dumb questions:
Are all E21's 2 doors?
Are any particular E21's more "worthy" of restoration or saving - rally or other competition manufactures (like e.g. Saab's 9000 "Carlson") and did any make it to Oz?
The searches I did on bimmerforums main site were not successful for this kind of info....but then that could be user error.
If there is anywhere to find this info I would love to hear about it.

there is a JPS version which are worth restoring, you can see a great example in the e21 section, madhatter owns it. Also there are alpina versions. dont get the real alpina's mistaken with the bogey "alpina australia" ones. 323i is better than the 318i.
yeh i have never seen a 4door e21, i dont think there is one. good luck with everything and feel free to ask me any questions.

Mine is 318i - but since the engine is history anyway it doesn't matter.
All I have is a few usable spares here with this one, but I think I would like to own a nice one. Might be a long journey.
Do you think a VIN decode would identify the alpinas and/or JPS models?
I'll keep you posted on what I find.

jps have build plaques on the dash as for the alpina's i imagine you could do the vin registartion check. check out madhatter's website(there is a link in his signature) he has alot of info on the jps in there.

Good day to all

Only been in AU for a couple weeks now - Brisbane area - waiting to start school this fall / spring depending on time (And paperwork). Huge BMW fan, BMW at heart but some pretty serious head turners you guys have here from what I'm used to. I can't count the GTRs, MKIV Supras, Holden V8s I've seen since I've been here. Anyway, figured I'd drop in and say hi, if anyone's in the Brisbane area feel free to hit me up looking for something to do in the meantime.
