Was your factory system HK, otherwise you should just get crappy reception. It seems that everyone is having that problem. It took me 3 installs to get my headunit in for good, the first time it didn't work, the second time I forgot my input wires, the third time I promised I would never do it again because squeezing the headunit in with the wires was such a PITA.

You need to insure remote amp flead rom head unit is attached to power antenna lead on car harness. If not the head unit will work in radio mode but as soon as you switch to cd mode the OEM amps shuts off and you will have no audio. Do a search its a very common mistake when wiring up after market head units.
